Dot Lob Wedge

Wedge bounce can be one of the simplest, but poorly understood or at least downplayed concepts in golf - many often overlook or underestimate this variable. Sure available to the rebound conditions suitable for the course and their level of skill is vital to achieve a consistent and reliable short game.

What is the rebound? Wedge Bounce Bounce or angle, is measured in degrees, the angle of the leading edge of the club to the lowest point of the club, which sits on the grass or dirt. In essence, rebound, the higher the edge is off the ground. There are two factors affecting the desired angle, wide sole and exclusive rope or "zeroing." A larger increase in single bounce. More rope or the rounding of the plant on the other hand, reduces rebound. These two characteristics should be taken into consideration.

So what is needed to bounce various field conditions? high bounce is desirable for high grass, deep rough and the sand soft and spongy or another condition in which you want to reduce the effect of digging. " low bounce instead of lying requires tight, hard turf, firm bunkers, fairway shots. Wedge rebound goes from 0 up to 14 degrees or more. standard bounce wedge varies by what you want to look at each manufacturer of wedge for more information.

So what does this mean for the average golfer? Well, using the bounce right cleaner will allow you to hit shots for any given situation. With bad bounce can contribute to the skulls, fat and thin shots. The best player may want to use multiple bounce angles depending on the conditions of the course. The beginner or high handicap player however, may want to keep more of a standard bounce wedge. In any case, however, experimentation Rebound is the best way to determine what works best for you. Do not be afraid to experiment in the range or even during the rounds to determine the best rebound of his game.

There are many manufacturers of golf wedge. Cleveland and Titleist, probably two of the biggest names in wedges have different ways of identifying rebound. Cleveland offers popular 588, CG12, CG14 and series and uses the red dot in the detection of rebound - one point equals low bounce, two bounce points standard, and three dots high bounce. Whereas that Titleist, Vokey Design classic machine, bouncing in the suffix identifies the model name. For example Vokey 256.14 is the number 200, a loft of 56 years, 14 rebounds. Another wedge gaining popularity is the Solus wedge. Solus incorporates something called a crescent cut sole contour which is supposed to allow only 4 degrees rebound with a closed clubface, to as much as 18 degrees of bounce with an open clubface.

Hopefully this will allow you to see the importance of the bounce of the wedge and how to contribute to the efficient execution of golf shots. Selecting the bounce right really comes to field conditions, and experiment with different wedges to suit your game.
