NW Series Sony VAIO Review
Entertainment seekers looking for a laptop that offers playback of Blu-ray, solid performance, and a lot of style will find much to like in the Sony VGP-BPS8 battery. Priced at a price reasonable $ 879 (as low as $ 799 online), this machine comes with a lot of features, and a strong 15.5-inch screen, although have to use the HDMI port and an external monitor or TV to get the full 1080p experience. Those looking for more graphics thrust want to opt for a configuration different from this system, but in general is a successful multimedia notebook.
Design
The first thing you notice about 14.6 x 9.8 x 1.2 inches, Walnut Brown is the cool design faux wood on the top, extending to the base of the system. Keyboard and Touchpad

Blu-ray
The VAIO NW is one of the least expensive notebooks yet that offers a drive integrated Blu-ray. The notebook itself only supports playback of 720p, but we like what we saw when we got into our We Were Soldiers Blu-ray. The night scenes, for instance, showed the right amount of black without losing detail.
When video output through HDMI to a Samsung 32-inch monitor was able to skillfully handle fast-moving action scenes with our film 1080p resolution. The appeal of Blu-ray in this (or any laptop) is reduced to how convenient it is for you to connect your computer to a TV or a large monitor that can take full advantage of the capabilities of the format.
Ports and webcam
is full of a number of connectivity options connecting accessories and peripherals.
