Brief Introduction to the TaylorMade Burner driver
The Taylormade Burner Driver was launched in 2008, Sergio Garcia to win the Players Championship years and was the most played driver on the tour last year. Most of our readers here in Paradise hackers know how I felt about 2008 and I just thought it was a step back to Taylormade and how well the model 2007 has been. 2009 will bring THP respondents back to "Earth burner?
Every year the clubs and encouraging more people are going longer and straighter drives. The Burner bloodline runs deep at TaylorMade. The first Burner driver was introduced in 1983, and was quickly adopted by golfers of all levels for their extraordinary combination of power and forgiveness. The burner controller followed in 1986, and then came the Burner Bubble in 1995. In 2007 TaylorMade introduced a new Burner driver, which was the best selling driver 2007 full year and 2008 season to date.
With the initial day of testing behind the testers decided they wanted more comments. Armed with the burner driver approached a wide full on a Saturday morning and let all players finish give there. Almost every golfer commented on the shape of the head and how it is not very traditional, but due to creative graphic placement, when the configuration you get the feeling that you are standing on a traditional shaped head. One by one, each golfer tried to drive current and new burner Taylormade.
The results were as expected, given the results of the first day. The testers had 23 players golf club and hit 19 of them preferred the new TaylorMade Burner. But 19 of the 23 was great numbers. Feedback was very similar in all areas. The Most thought it would be difficult to control, but once it took some changes had no problems.
