Painting and Decorating Tips - Part 1
Over the years they have kindly sent DIYers a lot of tips and ideas to make decorating easier. A selection of these are below their education, and in some cases, for fun. We hope that these gems of useful decorators peers.
Please note that these suggestions have not been tested by Resene and are listed below as supplied to us. If you have useful advice of your own to share we'd love to hear from you - this the tip of your hand.
- To get the paint smell of a room, cut a large onion in half, place in a bowl close the doors for a couple of days, and the smell of paint is gone. I do not know how it works, but you do and the room did not smell like onions.

- Tips for cleaning brushes: Use Enamel (oil) based paint: half to fill a jam jar with mineral spirits and dip your brush in several times. Then rinse the brush to clean with warm / hot water. Repeat 2-3 times until the brush is clean. My husband made fun of me when I started using this method as he thought he should not mix oil and water, however, in 5 years and I'm still with the same brush. - I just painted my studies Kauri 3.5 million ceiling with a brush, because the roller does not fit between the clubs. - My 10 best tips for owners with multiple rental properties are:
