What is certain, however, is that the battle was most exciting one by one from my career. "

"The changes in team selection procedure were approved by the descendants of the family of Samuel Ryder, along with the PGA of America. The most important change was the expansion selection procedures to include players European Division Player of the Tournament ", and" that MEPs right to play on the computer. "This meant that professional players in the European Tournament Players Division ", the precursor of the European Tour we have today, from continental Europe would be eligible to play in the Ryder Cup.

This victory was his 18th major title as a professional.
Before the Tournament 1986 Masters, Tom McCollister, writing in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, said Nicklaus is' do, cast, through, and this spurred him. He said:
"I kept thinking all week, 'Through, washed up, huh?" I boiled for a while. But then I said to myself same: 'I'm not going to quit now, playing the way I'm playing. I played well, too long to allow a shorter period of bad golf be the last. "
This victory would be his last time in his long career on the PGA Tour and was described at the time by the renowned golf historian and writer Herbert Warren Wind as "Nothing less than the greatest achievement in golf from Bobby Jones Grand Slam in 1930."

"There Have been swingers club prettier than Jack Nicklaus. It could have been better ball strikers than Jack Nicklaus. It has undoubtedly been exponents of the short game better than Jack Nicklaus. Another of golfers have putt, and Jack Nicklaus. Golfers may have been as dedicated and very competitive as Jack Nicklaus. But nobody has been able to develop and combine and keep all the complex physical skills and the immense mental and emotional resources to the demands set at its highest level, and Jack Nicklaus has both time as it has done.
