Don'ts
Install-shaped bowl on the counter sinks. Splashes and above all to maintain-has earned a reputation as pleasant to look at these cases, but do not want one.
Install glass doors, kitchen cabinet too. It looks great in magazines, but the owners have not taken the time to keep your kitchen cabinets organized to maintain the appearance of perfect image. And if you hate washing windows, having more glass in a room as a kitchen grease is high maintenance.
Minimize breakfast bar countertop overhang. Buyers hate when you can not comfortably pull a stool for a cup of coffee. Make sure yours extends past base cabinets at least twelve inches, preferably fifteen to eighteen.
Go cheap and omit-trim around interior window openings. Drywall finishes around windows just does not say contemporary, says a megaphone; cheap.
-Use concrete blocks on the exterior walls in new construction. One, it's ugly and two, unless they are properly sealed at installation and may every three years, will moisture loss. Mold is a major byproduct of poor installation and maintenance of concrete blocks, inside or outside.
-Specify stairs spiral. Once the furor over the mid-seventies to do more, now the death of a seller of the home. The baby boomers have aged, their children do not like, unfriendly for pets and small children. Take out and put yours in a standard staircase (inside or out) before selling.
-Underestimate smooth floors bamboo wood. The guest reviews are in first floor in this popular user friendly environment, and it is not pretty. Easily dented and scratched, and prone to deformation of the variations in climate and humidity levels.
