Almost 50 years ago, in 1959, Karsten Solheim founded his family company, PING, out of his garage. He did what almost every passionate golfer intends to do, your golf clubs doing better!

Being frustrated with his game started to get to play with the design of a better putter and finally came up with the idea of making a putter ping "when striking the golf ball. This" ping "sound that is why the club gave the name of PING.
