Golf Clubs Hybrids

Hybrid Golf Clubs-Are they used?

Hybrid golf clubs have appeared in recent years and its popularity will undoubtedly continue to rise. Phil Mickelson used a hybrid numerous times during his victory at the Players Championship in 2007. Many other great PGA Tour players use hybrid clubs as well, and popularity of these clubs continue to skyrocket. Taylor Made has said that a quarter of all timber sales in 2007 will be hybrids. Nearly a third of the golfers U.S. now choose to carry a hybrid golf club in their bags compared to about 7% in 2004. The trend is clear.

Why use a Club Golf hybrid?
In summary, a hybrid golf club is easier to hit than a long iron with the same loft, and a hybrid golf club the ball is a higher trajectory. To understand this we must know two things: the 24/38 rule and the vanishing loft phenomenon which has occurred in golf over the last 20-30 years.

24/38 Rule
This is a rule known by golf clubmakers. In essence, says that most golfers, that is, the vast majority do not have the ability to hit Grilled consistently 24 degrees or less of loft and 38 or more inches in length. For the vast majority of golfers in the world, this means you can not shoot in consistent with iron longer than a five iron. Here's why.

The leakage phenomenon Loft
Surely every golfer is aware that lofts of iron clubs have slipped lower in recent years. Golf club companies would introduce new clubs and promote the farther you can hit a 5 iron, for example, with their new clubs as he could with his old 5 iron. Not immediately respond to people that the club has less loft and was really more like his old four iron, but eventually this became obvious. So a four iron today has generally settled into lofts from 23 to 24 degrees vs. 28 degrees some years ago. Applying 24/38 rule to this means that only a few golfers today can always hit a 4-iron. How is it that the lofts and lengths of clubs were allowed to change? It so happens that there are no official standards for these and other golf club design parameters. Thus, the golf club companies could make the lofts be as they thought was best for the marketing department, within reason.

Why did the ball fly higher With a Hybrid Golf Club?
The answer to this question is easy to understand. With a hybrid golf club center of gravity (CG) of the club is farther back. For example, the center of gravity of a 4 iron or any other iron club that matter is slightly behind the clubface. A hybrid 4, which resembles a small wooden club (wood as 3 wood, 5 wood, etc. All these are made of metal these days) has a center of gravity is further back. This brings the ball in the air more easily and So the club seems easier to hit.

Should You Hit Hybrid Golf Clubs?
Unless you are very skilled player who no 24/38 rule applies, the answer is probably yes. Even players on the PGA Tour, which clearly are not bound by the 24/38 rule are using, because sometimes they want to get long flat iron those higher in the air. In fact for most players, the longest iron in the bag should probably be a 5 iron. 3 and 4 hybrids should replace your 3 and 4 irons, which most golfers can not be fired and consistent. And remember, your hybrid golf clubs should be the same length, or up half inch longer, than iron it seeks to replace. You want to replace the 3 and 4 irons with the equivalent hybrid golf clubs. You do not want is a club that will to hit the ball further and create a gap between 4 and 5 yards hybrid iron, for example. Therefore, the lofts of hybrid golf clubs and irons will replace must be equal too. You want your four hybrids to travel the same distance as did the 4 iron. Give hybrid golf clubs a chance, they are a great addition the game.
