Handed Orange Dot
![]() |
While Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries in the world, there is a wide range, from hand-painted rickshaws that dot the streets of Dhaka, the longest beach in the world, seventy-five miles in the southern part of Bangladesh in Chittagong, to the forests which still houses the Bengali tiger in the west, and tea farms in the north, Bangladesh is home to a friendly and hospitable people and a more interesting destination.
Summer Day in Bangladesh
Looking to the floor of the sand beneath my feet, slowly meandering
strolling
coals on the beach Bengali
puddles reflected sky water, liquid mirror,
dancers in the heat of summer;
like an old song-
like an Indian drum beat,
liquid street
calling soft
rolling, rolling waves;
little daughter,
little skin of polished jade gold, friendly waves
welcome to the land,
hands extended stock;
Little sunburned-boy
dark skin and so degraded, jumps up and down,
fresh wet sand;
Nobody knows
Why,
so many people here at the beach today, aligning
foaming white surf, Bangladesh, spring / summer waves
Cox's Bazaar-
beach, away
as you can see with your naked eyes
Bangladesh orange sun
as a hot summer fruit,
burning like fire burning
as a last goodbye to a Chinese dragon;
Bengali girl
stoops to pick up a deposit of tender hand
try to understand
drama
on the pulse of Bangladesh, pulsating river of earth
Music, with sincerity, passion, simplicity;
children-
love like an innocent flower;
tragedy, fate, hate, hope;
Chittagong
Ocean View, Dhaka drama
burning endless perpetual
swirl motion;
Sylhet tea-pickers
end of the day, he leaned over the back,
dead tired;
Heat from the sun in the back of bags
black tea-charcoal
day-long
tired, hoping to relax, chat, Bengali poetry
smiling, laughing, half-bearded face;
fingerprint drawing waves
in summer the hot sand, Bangladesh calls
Summer plan develops gradually.
