Irons Wedges Putter

What is a golf wedge and when to use?

Golf clubs in a standard set are arranged in order of their degree of loft, is that the angle at which the ball was lifted into the air when struck by the club. You will find then that a new set of golf clubs begins with a timber 1, also known as a driver who usually has a loft angle between8 and 13 degrees. This is followed by the 3 and 5 woods. Irons included in this set usually begins with the 3 (Although sheets 1 and 2 are available), which has a degree of loft of between 21 and 24 degrees. The device will be superior to the 9 iron (45 - 48 degrees loft), Pitching Wedge, could also rightly be called a sheet of 10 (47 - 53 degrees loft) and, of course, a putter.

However, it does not stop there. While playing a game of golf, inevitably, the player will encounter situations where you have to reach a very high loft angle, usually for removing an obstacle as a tree or a set of bunkers. The progression of the angles of loft therefore continues with some special clubs that are available to be added to the norm. The greater loft angle is given to the lob wedge that is designed to be carried out exactly as its name suggests, is to launch the ball over an obstacle or at least in the air. Wedge the ball has a loft angle of about 58 to 62 degrees. Then this is the sand wedge with a loft angle of 54 to 58 degrees and the gap wedge with an angle of 50 to 54 loft. As its name implies the sand wedge is particularly useful for sand bunker shots, while the gap wedge simply describes a club that connects the gap in the angles of loft between the pitching wedge and sand wedge.

As to whether these clubs to use, so I alluded to some situations and, where the sand wedge is likely to be used to escape from bunkers and wedge the ball is likely to be used to launch the ball over an obstacle. In fact, although there is another factor to be taken into account and that is the distance required for the shot. For example, a typical player Recreational men probably come to a sand wedge about 65 feet. One feature to note, however when choosing to play a shot with a wedge is that due to the high angle of approach to green the ball tends to roll very little, if at all. Accomplished players can use this to their advantage of being able to effect back on the ball and instead of stopping dead when it hits the green ball and actually grip the wheel back a bit to make some amazing images.

Most players at the beginning and even when they become more experienced will not need to include many of these specialized tools your arsenal of golf, but as the standard rules of golf allow 14 clubs to be carried out in the course, you probably worth investing in at least one wedge. The most likely candidate and probably the most versatile of the wedge is the wedge of sand and so is the extra club of choice for most players.
