Sand Lob Wedge

You may be an old school type of person. The fact that come with some sort of fancy new club does not mean they are jumping right on board.

So let me ask a few questions. How well you hit a three iron? What about the plate 4? Most of us struggle to hit irons too long. The longest axis and faster speed of the club head to the long irons and a challenge to hit consistently.

Those responsible the club has developed a solution to this problem. Introducing the hybrid or rescue club makers a few years ago the club created a large club which is much more well that easy to hit a long iron.

You can thank the former PGA Tour courses, broadcast television announcer and PGA Champions Tour player Gary McCord. It's the guy large mustache and a sense of humor. He acknowledged that his golf buddies are having a difficult time with long irons. He asked his sponsor, TaylorMade to get something to help.

They responded with the first "rescue" of the club. They developed a club with a shaft of iron, but with a club head that had the characteristics of a forest, hence the term "hybrid." It has a low center of gravity and wider sole mass together is more.

Why are a lot easier to hit? Why not use a 5 or 7 wood? Hybrids are easier to hit because the axis of iron they possess. They iron shaft provides important advantages.

1. The iron shaft is shorter than a wood shaft.
2. The iron shaft is thicker than tree wood.

These two advantages: the club is easier to control. Control means you'll be able to hit the ball in the center of club face more often. Pure hits means less side effects and more carry. Sounds good to me. How do you fight?

Some argue that wood is the best option because the time axis. They say that the length equals more speed of the club head. More speed means the club head more away. They are right.

The point is that with greater and more flexible shaft wood is more difficult to control. This probably means fewer injections pure stroke with a hybrid wood.

So the compromise to swing a hybrid instead of wood is a step back if both are hit correctly. Note that the law of averages suggests that you will strike many more successful hybrid while a timber of all things on equal terms.

Now, to sum up this discussion here is the comparison in a nutshell.

When compared with a wood similar attic, a hybrid club is easier to achieve, more accurate, but not always.

When compared to the same long iron, a hybrid will be easier to achieve a better performance of bad lies and sand, the trajectory of shot will be higher, further and lead to softer ground.

Now that hybrids have been around for a while are so many varieties available as you can imagine. The key to making the right choice is to know your swing and how to play the game. Do not let the club manufacturers advertising influence your decision. Take the club to the range or course and driving test to make sure you get what needs.

You can expect to pay $ 130 and up for brands or about $ 50 for the version of a custom high-quality clone.

If you have not give a hybrid a try. You'll love the difference they make. I bet you will be wishing they had done before.
