1.have wanted to try a mallet style putter for a while. Is very well balanced and comfortable to hit the ball. I like and I've been playing kind of leaf (Anser ping) for 30 years.
2.La this putter fits my career (straight line). It is an update with the right equipment for me. The broad flat bottom coaxing to hit flatter and has given me a more consistent area. Less up / down in point impact and eliminates any sweeping motion of my career.
