G5i Ping Craz-E Putter Review
When it comes to Ping, the first thing that crosses the mind of most people is their line putter. They are by far the most well established putter manufacturer in the industry, boasting designs that have been replicated by all other manufacturers. Ping broke its own mold when Craz-E putter, a mallet putter ridiculous aspect that attracted strange looks never played. I am an assistant PGA Pro and I am constantly asked about the putters and what style to use, I always reply that the comfort and feel are the most important parts of the proposal, which comes down to personal preference. Apart from this, I will tell you about my personal experience with the G5i Craz-E putter and how they stack up to my expectations.
The G5i Craz-E putter is no different, but still has a square shape with a flat deck semi circular queue. There are several differences between the G2i and G5i versions the most important is the dual durometer insert. The outer layer is the insertion as in the G2i putter with a stronger push in the center. This tube is designed to provide the feeling of smoothness of original putter, but also to provide audible feedback to the player. It follows along the lines White Steel Putter Odyssey. Ping has also updated the handle, go with a dual textured Winn grip that has the appropriate level of adhesion and softness to feel comfortable in your hands. The alignment of aid is slightly higher as well, with the crescent-shaped top rail and top insert color double facilitate square in front of goal. I tried the double curve with a full shaft offset, but is also available in a plumber's neck, backbone, stomach, and long term options axis. Coinciding with the launch of G5i putter line ping putter has also sent a fit for all your accounts with leave, which is the first auto-tuning of the putter in the industry, we can determine the perfect length and the lie angle for the putter.
Now when it comes to how the club performs in the field, I spent a few hours at the practice green and tried to get used to the feel and roll Craz-E. The first thing I noticed was that the putter head aligned immediately when placed in the ground. Alignment aid and the putter head frame the ball very well at address. The only thing I can say negative is that this style is a bit too light for my taste, I prefer a shorter club Doe heavy and the Taylor Made Monza, which can alter the weight of the putter through the interchangeable weights.
