Wedge Release Grip

foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. The first says that he has never played golf. In golf, the consistency is the key to a low handicap holy grail course of the game is impossible to achieve good low handicap without develop coherence, golf lessons and golf tips nonetheless. Flipping the club at impact, however, destroys consistency. It also robs you of the distance.

Flipping is all too common. Here is a quote from Jim Flick, long time teacher and guru course, to suggest how common it is: "Having taught thousands of golfers over the past 53 years, had estimated that 80 90 percent of the club's fans flip on impact. "Jim numbers might be a little, but one thing is certain. If you turn your club at impact, which be very difficult to achieve good low handicap.

The correct version

The most important position in the golf swing is where the club, wrists and arms through the strike zone. If you take a slow-motion view of some of the advantages struck with a stick, you can see how the release of club to achieve the ball flight is necessary. The face is square to the finish line, the axis is tilted slightly forward and the left wrist and forearm are slightly angle.

Inconsistent golfers, however, flip the club through impact. They cup the left wrist (right wrist for left-handers) through of the strike zone, resulting in too much loft and weak shots out of control. The handle is in the back of the head, instead of against it, and the left elbow is tense rather than relaxed, preventing a controlled rotation of the forearms.

The causes of flip

The reason to move from one jerk hurts consistency is very simple. Flipping the forces of the hands and arms to compensate for either his body or his hands are out of position on impact. Instead of delofting the club through impact, adding loft to it. This translates into a weaker, less penetrating shot.

Basically, there four causes of flipping:

1. dominates the right hand
2. body is too active,
3. club is too open,
4. body is too open.

Each cause has its subtleties when it comes to swing the club, but the key is that either your hands or your body is out of position at impact.

Below three exercises you can do to help release appropriate slot. The drills are good because they break bad habits and prevent a recurrence to appear. But you have to practice frequently, not just once or twice. If one of these exercises is difficult to do, then it is likely that the exercise you need to more practice.

Right Hand Off Drill
Start with shorter sticks. Then move down the line of the longer clubs. Swing the club like normal but let your right hand coming from the club just after impact. This movement teaches his left arm to carry the swing. It also teaches bow twist and turn, the elimination of the failure of chicken wing swing.

Stability Drill
This exercise develops the ability to stabilize the left hand at impact and does wonders for their release. Using a wedge, hit shots down to less than 50 yards. Exaggerate the finish. You want to keep the clubhead low to the ground and his chest down. However, keeping arms and shoulders relaxed.

Drill front loader
This exercise teaches you to hit a draw. Start with clubhead in front of the ball. Half-and three-quarter changes. Then move to a position through the swing, feeling his left forearm rotation and closing the clubface. Swing your arms and the club through the back and hitting the ball with any excavation of the left wrist. Make sure his arms and hands to rotate freely with little tension.

In addition to these exercises, shooting on the move, but at different speeds, with all its clubs. This exercise develops sensitivity to square the clubface at impact. You should feel the closure face through impact without breaking his left wrist.

Conclusion

These exercises not only train their muscles to release the club properly at impact, but also build confidence and security. They give you a clear idea of what your body and your club should be doing the most important position in your swing impact.

If you are serious about reducing your handicap course, we're working these exercises as often as possible. No faithfully and you improve the consistency and generate distance calls regardless of recreation.
