Devon, Cornwall, Wales, the west coast of Scotland and the west coast of Ireland produce some of the best fishing pollock along the coast and a boat. These places are jagged cliffs almost vertical drop-tide line, the sea-scarred challenging ropes making its way westward over uneven terrain. The best places to fish are over to rocks, which raises the peaks, the beds of weeds and scattered sharp-edged rocks that was once proudly part of the cliffs behind you. This land is roughly what means that you will lose the team, but fear not, quality fish will repay their losses.
To get the best of the pollock fishery coast, you need to be mobile you need good boots with plenty of grip and good ankle support. Start with sticking to the coastal roads, and where safe walking over the rocks. You have to be a fisherman opportunist. Take a couple of times. Stop, try different lures. If you do not keep going! Do not stay in place long term. Cover floor!
Roces need be enhanced spin rod with some backbone, or a bar that is approx 11ft with quick action and a half, tip slightly tender, but with the power coming soon in the midsection and buttocks. This extra length has two main purposes. First, an elongated bar gives a good action to cushion the sudden jumps that Pollack often use the tactics of their struggle, but with a lot of energy to his end of pressure on them when they address the algae or snags.
Fixed spool reels are ideal for this type of fishing that allow long casts with minimal back swing when fishing difficult places pressed against a rock wall or obstruction.
Line should be between 12 pounds and 18 pounds breaking strain. I use 15 lbs line, because it makes enough to work a lot water well with pump sets 2-3 oz
Pollack will be a variety of lures. Chrome silver wedge lures such as Dexter and Toby are excellent in 32gm - 50grams. The best are artificial representations as Redgills Lanzón and Eddystone eels, and worms or Tempest Sidewinders Pinzón Jelly. Carrying black, red, black and mackerel, but black with fluro colors are murderers. I also had great success with Calcutta Shads between 3-inch 7.5cm and 10 cm long 4inch. Another good tactic is to spin a Lanzón deep frozen Aberdeen linked to a 4 / 0 on a platform of basic accounting, Cast away! Let it sink and retrieve very slowly.
Pollack are powerful fish that usually gets a blast of light followed by fish screaming into the background. Pollack is this nature that makes the coast fishing for this species so valuable.
No fish when a large wave coming directly on the rocks. The fishermen are washed under the conditions of each such year. Also be aware of slippery rocks and make sure you have easy access off during rains. In short, use common sense.
