Fusion technology that drives the ERC Fusion Driver is the successful combination of two design elements created and refined by Callaway Golf. The first is the forged titanium cup-face design, which wraps around the club face and spreads to areas of the crown, ribbon and sole of the head. This is similar the face design first used by the Company in its legendary ERC ® II Forged Titanium Driver, and encompasses Callaway Golf Variable Face Thickness (VFT). Construction cup face makes the clubface stronger in key areas of high stress for strength, while VFT ® technology creates a high transfer efficiency of energy from clubhead to golf ball at impact to help achieve the maximum COR allowed by the USGA and the R & A.
